Dr. Joshua “Brett” Jeter, Associate Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine, was inducted into the Nelson Order at a ceremony on May 15th. Established in 2004 to recognize “the teaching excellence encouraged and nurtured by Norman C. Nelson, M.D.”, the Nelson Order recognizes the institution’s best teachers. Dr. Jeter was among sixteen faculty inducted this year throughout the medical center that were selected by students, their peers, and recommended by deans of their respective schools. Dr. Jeter serves as Co-Director of the M3 Medicine Clerkship and is a core faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He serves on the Department of Medicine Procedure Team and supervises the residency point-of-care ultrasound curriculum. Dr. Jeter is also active in several committees throughout the institution, including the School of Medicine Curriculum Committee and House Officer Selection Committee for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
