Hanan Ibrahim, MD

Hometown: Amman, Jordan

Residency: Henry Ford Health System/ Detroit, Michigan

Fellowship: Rheumatology, Henry Ford Health System/ Detroit, Michigan

Division: Rheumatology

Tell us about yourself. I finished medical school in Jordan and after that, I completed a transitional year at King Hussein Cancer Center, which is one of the largest cancer centers in the Middle East area. There I got to meet my sweet husband who is also a faculty here at UMMC in the Neurology Department. I am so passionate about rheumatology. My Twitter account is full of rheumatology pearls, check it out (@HananMDrheum). I also am a good baker; I enjoy Yoga and Pilates in my free time.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? I am looking forward to meeting and working with everyone. I am excited to teach all of the students who rotate through rheumatology, and most importantly I am happy I will be taking care of the people of Mississippi.

Rose Kristine Tiangco, MD

Hometown: Valenzuela City, Philippines

Residency: Harlem Hospital, New York City

Division: Hospital Medicine

Tell us about yourself. I grew up in Valenzuela City, Philippines to a loving and supportive family. I graduated Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas, Magna Cum Laude. I finished my residency from Harlem Hospital in New York City in 2018 and have been working in the field of Hospital Medicine since then. I would like to share a mnemonic I developed 10 years ago – HEART-P. H-humility, E-enthusiasm, A-art, R-responsibility, T-time and trust and P for passion. These guided me to ensure that I serve my patients and the community to the best of my ability, for which passion is the most important. I love to cook, travel and spend time with family, especially with our 4 month old son.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? I am looking forward to working at UMMC and serving the community. I would like to share what I can do best to ensure patients get the best care.
