Welcome new faculty to the Department of Medicine!

Sandhya Bogi, MD

Hometown: Hyderabad, India

Residency: St Joseph Mercy Health System, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Division: Hospital Medicine

Tell us about yourself.  After growing up in India and having done majority of my education including medical school from home, moving to the US for my husband and I for post-graduate studies was a dream come true. I did my medicine residency from Ann Arbor, MI and have been a hospitalist since then. We have been in Mississippi over last 8 years and absolutely love it here. I enjoy yoga, cooking, traveling and family time. My husband works at Children’s of Mississippi as a pediatric intensive care physician and we have two adorable boys who occupy most of my time outside my professional life.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC?

I am looking forward to continue serving the population of Mississippi and provide the best care I can. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to teaching the next generation clinicians and also continue to grow in the path of learning.
