Adi Sabharwal, DO

Division: Cardiology

Tell us about yourself. I grew up in Mississippi where I completed my residency followed by general cardiology and heart failure/transplant fellowships at UMMC. Afterwards, my wife and I moved to North Carolina for work and the mountains. During the last couple of years if I wasn’t managing patients in the CVICU or on ECMO, I was outside trail running or hiking. After having our first baby, though, it was time to move back home.  

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? I’m ecstatic about coming back to UMMC. The people there make UMMC home.  I’m looking forward to working with some of the best physicians I’ve known and my old mentors. I know we can build a nationally recognized shock, CVICU and ECMO team.
