Dr. Zeb Henson has been appointed Chief of Medical Staff for the university. He has assumed this role effective immediately following the untimely passing of Dr. Kirk Reid. Henson, formerly the Associate Chief of Staff within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and the Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program Director. As Chief of Medical Staff, Dr. Henson will serve as a bridge between the medical staff and the hospital to ensure they are working in unison for the good of patients and the Medical Center. He will also chair the Medical Executive Committee, which oversees the credentialing and privileging of the medical staff and addresses issues and concerns raised by or about medical staff. Congratulations Dr. Henson!
