Dr. Bernard Dreiling was recently honored for 55 years of service to the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center. Dreiling, a hematologist and Professor in UMMC School of Medicine, has cared for countless patients and has had immeasurable impact on learners in the past five decades. Dr. Dreiling is encyclopedic in his knowledge of Medicine and Hematology. I learned volumes from him. It was an honor to have been mentored by him. He has few piers.
