Tell us about yourself. I went to medical school and trained at UAB, then worked as a pulmonologist in Laurel for many years. I love to cook, cycle and travel. I’m also a fledgling sailor and a Francophile.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? There are so many things that I’m looking forward to. I’m very excited to help grow the ILD and sarcoidosis programs here at UMMC. I also look forward to working with, learning from and helping to train the next generation of Mississippi doctors.

I completed my internal medicine residency and pulmonary & critical care fellowship at UMMC and worked as a pulmonologist/intensivist at UMMC for two years after I completed fellowship. I decided to formalize my interventional pulmonary training at NYU this past year and I am excited to return home.

Meagan Robbins, MD

Hometown: Pontotoc, MS

Residency: Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, UMMC

Chief Residency: UMMC Pediatrics

Division: General Internal Medicine

Tell us about yourself. I’m a Mississippi native, born in Pontotoc, and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in English, of all things. I then came to UMMC for medical school and stayed for Med-Peds residency. After training, I spent a year as a Chief Resident for the Pediatrics Department. I’m happily married to my husband Will, and we are “fun aunt & uncle” to our friends’ kids. I get way too excited about new books, planning vacations, 90s sitcom reruns, Disney World, and quirky coffee mugs.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? Most definitely the people. I have absolutely loved getting to take care of our “sickest of the sick” patients from birth to geriatrics in Med-Peds training and look forward to continuing to have that privilege. Also, I’m getting to work with all of these amazing doctors I looked up to during training and feel so lucky to get that opportunity.

Carrie Wynn, MD

Hometown: Jackson, MS

Residency: Internal Medicine, UMMC

Tell us about yourself. I was born and raised in Jackson. I attended Baylor University for my undergraduate education (Sic ’em Bears!), and have been back at UMMC ever since! My husband and I have two children, a golden retriever named Ray, and a cat named Goat.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? Working with students, residents, and fellows!
