Department of Medicine faculty participate in AHA’s “Go Red for Women” event

Many UMMC faculty are involved in the American Heart Association (AHA). Recently, the AHA hosted their Breakfast in Red to kick off its latest Go Red for Women campaign. UMMC serves as the local sponsor for the campaign. Drs. Javed Butler, Trey Clark and Debbie Minor attended the event, for which Dr. Butler was the keynote speaker. He spoke about prevention of heart disease, the number one cause of death of women in the United States.
