Dr. Andrew Brown has authored a timely article in the American College of Cardiology magazine discussing burnout, wellness, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The article, entitled “Wellness For Cardiovascular Trainees in the Era of COVID-19” discusses Mississippi’s experience with the pandemic as well as national cardiology fellows-in-training (FITS) wellness data and potential actions, both systemic and individual to combat burnout. Dr. Brown completed medical school, internal medicine residency, and chief residency at UMMC and is currently a PGY-V in Cardiovascular Diseases.
