Congratulations to Dr. Licy Yanes Cardozo on celebrating 20 years at UMMC! Dr. Yanes Cardozo is a physician-scientist in both the Departments of Medicine and Molecular and Cell Biology and serves as the Director of Resident Research for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. She has been awarded numerous accolades on campus, including the Department of Medicine Research Fellow Award, multiple Excellence in Research Awards, and the Stanley Chapman Young Investigator Award. She has mentored numerous trainees over the years in research endeavors, including post-doctoral fellows, MD/Ph.D. applicants, students in the Medical Student Research Program (MSRP), residents, and fellows.
