Division: Hospital Medicine

Tell us about yourself. I was born and raised in Pakistan, where I studied medicine at Shifa College of Medicine, Islamabad. I did my Internal Medicine residency at Orange Park Medical Center in Florida. Subsequently, I worked at Forrest General Hospital in MS for four years. I enjoy doing research – I have coauthored more than 70 publications. My areas of interests are cardiovascular outcomes/epidemiological research with a focus on healthcare disparities among different population subgroups. Outside the medicine world, I like flying planes (on hold for now) and have also travelled extensively with my family.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? I am looking forward to learning and growing professionally while helping our patients.
