The Department of Medicine and American College of Physicians hosted the 2022 ACP Abstract Day on October 27th. The day included 111 posters and 6 oral presentations delivered by students, residents, and fellows from UMMC and statewide.
Congratulations to the following winners in each category:
Clinical Research – Charmin Guy, UMMC M2 – CGM use in adults with T2D is increasing but reveals differences in trends, particularly in primary care vs endocrinology
Clinical Vignette – Anna Carr, UMMC PGY-V pulmonary fellow – Hypocalcemia: How much citrate is too much?
Quality Improvement – Dr. Nathan Usry, UMMC PGY-2 internal medicine resident – Hepatocellular carcinoma at the GV Sonny Montgomery VA. How well are we really doing?
Each of the winners will present his or her work at the national ACP meeting in San Diego in the spring of 2023, and all are encouraged to submit their work to regional and national meetings for presentation. Thank you to our faculty mentors for their support of our students, residents, and fellows in their scholarship.
