Tell us about yourself:  I was born and raised in Malaysia. I completed medical school at the National University of Malaysia and previously served in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. I completed internal medicine residency in New York. After residency, I followed my passion for the heart and a deep interest in clinical research and pursued a heart failure research fellowship and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife, going for walks in the park, soccer and reading.

What are you most looking forward to working at UMMC? 

I look forward to learning and growing in the next phase of my career as faculty at UMMC, collaborating with my colleagues while providing excellent cardiac care to the patients in Mississippi.
