Dr. Kollin Kahler, (left), categorical internal medicine PGY-3, was chosen as a recipient of the Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award by the third year medical student class. The award, sponsored by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, was given to one of six residents at UMMC who have demonstrated an enthusiastic commitment to teaching and who serve as role models for the compassionate treatment of patients and families, students, and colleagues. 

Dr. Jarret Morgan, (right), Associate Professor in the Division of General Medicine and Pediatrics, was voted as the faculty recipient of the Leonard Tow award this year. This award is voted on by the medical student members of the Gold Humanism Society and recognizes the faculty member at UMMC who demonstrates clinical excellence, outstanding compassion in the delivery of care for patients, and shows the utmost respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues.
