Courtney Sanders, nurse practitioner in the Division of Infectious Diseases, celebrates 20 years at UMMC! Courtney began her tenure at UMMC at Batson in the pediatric emergency department, initially as an RN and then as a nurse practitioner, where she was involved in clinical performance improvement. She joined the Adult Special Care Clinic in 2018 and serves as the lead advanced practice provider for the clinic.
“Courtney is a superstar that, along with caring for her own clinical practice, mentors our other nurse practitioners, serves as the clinic administrator, maintains our clinical quality metrics, and implements ongoing quality improvement projects. She is a prime reason why UMMC has one of the highest-performing HIV clinics in the U.S., and we are all so thankful to have her as a leader on our team!” – Dr. Ben Brock
Congratulations Courtney – we’ve been lucky to have you these past 20 years!
