Mr. Boles is a Madison resident who has been at the University of Mississippi Medical Center for 8 years. Russell initially joined the medical center working with the National Children’s Study. In 2012 he joined the Department of Medicine as Associate Director of Administration and Finance. In 2013 he was named Department Business Administrator for the Department of Medicine. Before entering the medical profession, Russell previously worked in the Defense Industry for both Raytheon and Diversified Technology in business and financial management. Russell has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from The University of Mississippi. Outside of work Russell enjoys spending time with his wife Rhonda, children Langston and Camille, and his dogs Macy and Jax. He also spends his free time volunteering as a Boy Scout leader, backpacking, singing in the church choir and following Mississippi State and Oklahoma sports. His ability with both data and people, his insights into the medical school and medical center finances, and the overall health care industry makes him an invaluable asset for the next phase of the department.
